Saline or Lactated Ringer's: which should I get?
Both are sterile, isotonic IV fluids used for hydration.
Normal saline (0.9% sodium chloride) is salt and water only. It is the most widely used IV fluid and the standard choice for flushing lines and running alongside medications.
Lactated Ringer's also contains potassium, calcium and lactate, so its balance is closer to your body's own fluids. Many people choose it for hydration and recovery drips, and it is the fluid veterinarians most often use for pets.
If you are following a care plan or your veterinarian's instructions, use the fluid they specify.
How long until my fluids expire?
We stock long-dated product. Every bag arrives sealed, with an expiration of 2027 or later.
How does shipping work?
Every order ships free, and we email you a tracking number as soon as it goes out.
